Maintenance Grant for SC/ST Students

 

Under this scheme each eligible SC or ST day scholar is paid at the rate of Rs. 40/- per month or Rs. 480/- per annum as maintenance grant. The aim of this scheme is to provide some impetus to the parents for sending their wards to schools. By this small grant the students usually meet their conveyance and other sundry expenses. There is a ceiling of parent's income of Rs. 36,000/- per annum. Students belonging to the households having income exceeding the amount are not entitled to such assistance. There is no quota for ST Students but the quota for SC Students is 3810.   Achievement of this District is given below:
